Scion: Leto Valley
The city of Nemea Pass, Oregon is located on the eastern edge of the county of Leto Valley, nestled in the hills that form the county’s eastern border. Has a population of 30,561 as of the 2000 census.
Incorporated as a city in 1906, Nemea Pass experienced a population boom at the turn of the last century when deposits of gold and other precious minerals were discovered in the hills. Its mining era was short-lived, however, with most veins being exhausted by the 30’s. The town’s primary industry today is centered around East State University, a state funded college.
